FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: What if I live in Canada, but I'm not an eligible voter?

A: Not a problem. Join the Future Generations Movement! Fill in and send us the membership form but write "Future Generations MOVEMENT" in the space for the name of the party. (And you can ignore the request for your birthdate.)

Q: What if I'm too young to vote?

A: We want your energy and passion all the more! You don't have to be a voter in order to have some influence in the world. Join the Future Generations Movement! Fill in and send us the membership form but write "Future Generations MOVEMENT" in the space for the name of the party.

Q: What if I belong to another Canadian federal political party that does not allow me freedom of association, so I can't join a new party?

A: This is a matter for you to decide. Our intention is to represent and be a voice for future generations, not to take votes away from any other party, so we don't see why you can't support our work and the work of another party at the same time. If you decide to join the Future Generations Movement instead, just fill in and send us the membership form but write "Future Generations MOVEMENT" in the space for the name of the party.

Q: So, what does it mean to join a "movement" rather than a political party?

A: It means you will be working to affirm the legal and economic rights of future generations to a healthy and habitable planet — from the outside in. (Party members will be trying to make this change from the inside out.)

Q: What if I don't live in Canada?

A: Start a Future Generations Party in your own country! Or run for a local political position under the Future Generations banner. This is a grassroots re-evolution, so as long as you understand and support the importance of enshrining rights of future generations into our legal and economic systems, please feel free to take this idea and make it happen where you live.

For the sake of all the children, of all species, for all time.
